When will the Schroeder Family Exploreum open to the public?
The science center is opening in phases as we continue raising the funds needed to complete the critical projects that will bring our region the state-of-the-art, hands-on, experiential learning environment we envision.
Thanks to generous early support, we’ve already completed major renovations that lay the foundation for this transformation. These include a full HVAC replacement, upgraded electrical and lighting systems, new flooring in the north wing, safety fencing, and fully remodeled restrooms that meet current ADA standards.
With these essential improvements in place, we are on track to open the north wing of the museum on June 4, 2026—marking an exciting milestone for our community. At the same time, design work is actively underway for the south wing, which will expand our space and deepen our impact for years to come.

Our mission is to inspire and empower children through hands-on, engaging activities rooted in STEAM education—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
We’re passionate about bringing high-quality recreational and educational experiences right to our local community, so families no longer need to travel far to find interactive, imaginative learning opportunities.
